Education and the Web

Filed under: education, web 2.0 — gtor @ 9:07 am and

There must be thousands of free sites available for use in our schools. I’m not talking about games and lesson plans, I’m referring to podcasting, video, wiki, and other web 2.0 applications that can be adapted by educators. With each school district censoring various sites, perhaps some funds should be channeled to groups to actually review these sites and give factual information about their content. It is almost impossible to keep up with each new application. Some are obviously not for use by younger students, but let’s get the word out about what is available.
